1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Name the Baby ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Name the Baby is a digital platform that allows users to create baby name suggestion requests, share invitation links, and collect name suggestions from family and friends. The Service operates on a credit-based system where certain actions consume credits from your wallet.
3. Account Registration
- ▸You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- ▸You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- ▸You must provide accurate information when registering.
- ▸One account per person. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
4. Credits & Payments
The Service operates on a credit system:
- ▸New accounts receive 10 complimentary credits upon registration.
- ▸Credits are consumed per action: creating a request (5 credits), receiving a suggestion (1 credit), AI insight (5 credits), PDF export (15 credits).
- ▸Credits are purchased in packs via Stripe. All prices are displayed at checkout in USD.
- ▸Credits do not expire and have no cash value.
- ▸We reserve the right to modify credit prices with 14 days' notice.
- ▸Refund Policy: All digital credit purchases are final and non-refundable unless strictly required by applicable consumer law in your jurisdiction (e.g., EU/UK 14-day cooling-off period for unconsumed digital goods).
All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store payment card details. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- ▸Post offensive, harmful, or illegal content in name suggestions or notes.
- ▸Circumvent, disable, or interfere with the Service's security features.
- ▸Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service.
- ▸Violate any applicable UAE law or international law.
- ▸User-Generated Content: You are solely responsible for the content submitted to your campaigns by the guests you invite. We reserve the right to remove campaigns containing unlawful or abusive submissions without refund.
6. Intellectual Property
The Name the Baby platform, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The content you create (name requests, suggestions) remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to store and display it for the purpose of providing the Service.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not responsible for the content of suggestions submitted by invited participants.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Name the Baby shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Unused credits are non-refundable upon termination caused by a Terms violation.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE.

12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.
